i just want to add on some point to what crystal say. we as sec 4 at time do make mistake also we also did misuse the room at time and bring in our friend i would like to say sorry!. and i also hope that each member in zion zone will learn to treasure whatever previllage is given to you. we might not have a teacher in charge, we might not train u like uniform group or punish you like other CCA but this does not give your the right to camp over higher authority i believe in each of you, your have to walk out of your own comfort zone!. "it does not take one day to change but the effort count" :D

The training session at NYP was hilarious, especially the part when we got lost in nyp. haha, can't imagine it

anyway, no time to joke
let's get serious now.

there are bound to be rules everywhere you go in life, no matter if it is in school, at home, at work or whatsoever. We have to follow a set of rules in order to maintain fairness, discipline and teamwork in Zion Zone. and all these will be helpful on our pathway to success.
Okay, so let's get the rules started.

Golden Rule No 1
No using of Zion Zone room for any other reasons other than that of course, for Zion Zone sessions.
Well, Zion Zone room is not a place to hang out or enjoy air-con. Don't have to feel guilty if you have already broken the first golden rule. Just don't do this next time. Only Jessica and I or other sec threes can give you permission to use the room. So, inform us if you have to use the room. But still, your reason must have got to do with Zion Zone.

Golden Rule No 2
No bringing of friends into Zion Zone room. I'm terribly sorry if I have brought my friends in previously but rest assured, I won't do that ever again. You, too. Unless you want your friends to get scolded by me. (which I hate that a lot) I dislike telling people off as they will roll their eyes at me and show me the irritated face, so don't make me do that again. do your friends, yourself and me a favor.

Golden Rule No 3
Please be reminded, once you step into Zion Zone room, you must show respect to all of the members, including yourself. Making a fool of yourself isn't showing much respect to yourself. Behaving yourself is.

Golden Rule No 4
No vulgarities are allowed in Zion Zone room. I take this really seriously. I hate hearing vulgarities the most. They make me feel so offended. You are also offending other innocent parties by your vulgarities. Therefore, don't say them even if you know or don't know what they mean.

Golden Rule No 5
Keep quiet when you are supposed to. I get sore throats really easily and as you know, my voice isn't really loud. So, please cooperate if I request you to stop talking and listen to me.

Golden Rule No 6
Please, Zion Zone is not another cca for you to pon.
I care about attendance a lot. Just come even if you have no idea what we are going to do on that day. I know you are busy, you have stuff going on, but you still have to make time for Zion Zone. Worse come to worse, inform me earlier why you can't come on that date. and I expect a valid reason.

Golden Rule No 7
Try your best to be as polite and friendly as possible, especially to teachers and whoever who are working in phs. We will bring honour and pride and recognition to Zion Zone once the teacher recognizes us. For example, if you are in council, many teachers would think that you are really disciplined(well, they mostly are). Therefore, your cca and you are strongly linked.

Golden Rule No 8
Grab any opportunities that come in your way. For example, if you have been chosen to make a presentation in class or be an emcee for a certain event, grab this chance immediately. Like, immediately immediately. I know, you might be shy or something, but you still have to overcome your fear one day.

It's not your choice if you want to follow the rules, you have and are obliged to so long if you are a member of Zion Zone 52.9.
And please, don't call our cca zz. It sounds so wrong.

Here are the photos taken on Wednesday, when most of us actually went to Nanyang Poly to train on how to do Widgets! It was a great and fun journey there with Audio Engineering Club and a lost and fun journey back! All of us were so great and funny together! Haha. Here are the photos!

thanks to fir, it suddenly occurred to me that zionzone's history was not exactly made known to all. well, i'll try to fix up the history of zionzone! :D

zionzone was set up for the purpose of improving our school's language command.

and 52.9 is the school's land code!

but there was a serious technical fault.
so, we couldn't do our broadcasting as much as we wanted to.
at that time, we weren't into podcasting yet.

then mdm tan left.
mr edmund choo took over us as the teacher-in-charge.

in came the current sec3s!

A BIG Thank You for your dedication and hardwork during the JJ Fair. You stepped forward and did a great job with very little preparation when needed. I will see what I can do to provide you with the teacher support needed for your further development. You have displayed fantastic planning and steadfastness. Keep up the good work. Thank you for cooperating with the alumni Sheryl and Dion sent to guide you. It was a wonderful surprise to find a complete list of volunteers for the Emcees job with duties all allocated and time slots provided on Friday morning when the instructions was given to Crystal only on Thursday night. No need to enlist outside help at all ( and none came forward after the morning announcement for volunteers.) What a relief for me. You displayed one of the principles of good governance, "anticipate change, stay relevant" (the sec 3s will understand what I mean).
Once again, thank you.

great job guys

hey all! i think this is my first post for zionzone! been wanting to post, and i have found a reason to now haha! ok i'll keep this short and sweet.

ok first of all, great job to all of you guys! ;D i seriously think that this is maybe the most successful zionzone outing ever! you guys showed great energy and great enthusiasm and i want you guys to maintain in! coz thats what zion zone requires: ENERGY! not very much on the techincal sides though, that we can train. but energy, you need to have it. either you do or you dont, and its very much related to your passion to deejaying. and i am proud of you guys, especially for some of you, you really exceeded my expectations and proved me wrong.

on the other hand, i would like to see more coming out from ppl! dont be afraid to be wrong, get it wrong once, then try again. wrong again, try again. in the end you will get it, so just keep trying and dont be afraid! the dare-to-do spirit...hmm i hope to seee it from you guys more, espcially from the seniors, coz YOU are the ones leading the pack and you have to be able to coordinate different people to different tasks. i would really like to thank crystal! she has done a very good job and yeah you guys better listen to her ok? coz even i give her respect :D

on a lighter note, i feel zionzone is heading in the right direction! keep going guys and keep it up!

We have to meet at 8am sharp at the sofa set area outside HOD room. There will be devotion and stuff in the morning so you guys must be excused. Don't be late! I won't be there as I have the emceeing job to do.

Next, please bring your hp tmr cause I will have to contact you guys and on them!

Sec twos and threes and fours: do some scripts to serve as a guide for you tmr. Please, do them. Thanks, just to be prepared. =)

All deejays:
- use own personality
- project voice
-can repeat the words
- be yourself
- must have the right tone
- get into the mood
- don't say so fast
- can make own dedication
- dedication slips can be reused
- treat the listeners as your friends
- keep the people updated about the events few hours before and then 15 min before( especially those at the hall)
- must specify where we are to the audience
- must tell the people that their dedications will not be immediate
